In this project, I learned how to utilize ROBOTC in order to program a robot to perform a task applicable to real life. My partner, Luke, and I decided to create a robot that can pass out papers. In order to do this, we researched how to use three line followers to tell the robot to follow a line around the room. This required knowledge on how to construct a VEX robot, and how to use the ROBOTC language to tell the robot to do specific things.
Overall, this project took about a month to complete (September-October 2018). However, I feel like it taught me how to communicate in group projects for engineering, utilize my engineering notebook, and use the PLTW method for brainstorming ideas and making decisions.
